In a city,a long long way away...

(well in Paoli, USA) a long long time ago (well 11 years ago actually) some playa's had a dream to form the best basketball company in the world. AND 1 was born. To spread the gospel of AND 1 basketball, they created the AND 1 Mix Tape. Some of you out there were sleepin', and if this is you, you missed your chance to pick up the hottest thing to hit VCR's since Beat Street. Stop crying on your rock, because AND 1 is bringin' the Mix Tape Tour to a playground near you "Down Under" soon. All the dunk, dimes,beats, breakdowns, and honey's to satisfy any hoop junkie's call for ball.

The scene is a playground in Hoop City. Local DJ's are battling on turntables at mid-court as the AND 1 Mix Tape Soldiers enter to a thundering ovation. The crowd is raucous, sweaty in anticipation, jammed around the playground, Rucker style, with their feet practically on the court. As the music pumps, the game starts and the action is insane. Crazy passes and monster dunks everywhere.The game has never been played like this and the crowd knows it.They are losing their minds. The DJ's are doing battle as the teams do battle. A graffiti artist goes to work on the side, taking in the whole scene. As you look around, everything is cool, just as it should be. All ball, all love. The crowd becomes unruly as the AND 1 playa's breaks into a barrage of mind-numbing dunks and ankle-breaking crossovers. A couple of moves that add insult to an already injured hometown team and the crowd goes postal. Game Over! They want more. We have shown them the drug and now we are leaving with it. The crowd breaks up and the AND 1 soldiers leave the court. They still vibe on the beats as they pump from the courtside speakers. As the crowd mills around, not wanting to leave for fear that they will miss something, they are mimicking some of the craziest moves they saw in the game.

The love and game is felt by us in Oz too. The Professor, High Octane and 50 gave us a taste of the Tour when they graced our shores in January 2004 to challenge the State winners of the AND 1 3 on 3 National Tour.

Playa's, The AND 1 Soldiers will be rockin the courts in Oz in November 2004. Ask your Footlocker store for the heads up on the Tour.....see you there......Respect.
